Ubisoft's Far Cry 3
will be seeing some changes in the coming days. The developer has been
listening to fan feedback about the core game and the multiplayer
component, and will be instituting some new features in a title update.

The single-player portion of Far Cry 3 will soon offer two
new ways to play. Ubi is adding in a fourth difficulty, Master, which
will make wildlife more aggressive, the pirates more formidable, and
also turn the privateers into more deadly enemies. Additionally, the
ability to reset outposts will be added across all difficulties. Now
instead of having a completely cleared map after you've finished the
game, a simple flick of the switch in the options will repopulate all
cleared outposts with enemies. Any unfinished quests will again become
hidden until the local outpost has been cleared.

Multiplayer will be seeing some nice changes as well. Now instead of
just publishing a map and hoping for competent feedback, devoted map
creators can publish a beta version for testing purposes. When in beta,
the creator can spectate over matches to view possible problem areas,
and can get instant feedback from players once the round is over on how
to improve the map. You'll also soon be able to search for maps by
author, and have a longer time to vote on map skipping. For those of you
who like to play custom/private battles, Ubi has decided to stop
kicking players who stay on idle too long.

It's a nice series of changes, and should help make Far Cry 3 an even more enjoyable experience. What other changes would you like to see made to Far Cry 3?
