Halo. It offers good story, difference in game-play, forge mode, and its not filled with squeakers, (until 343 came along).

Halo

Pro:

Storyline is amazing
Massive universe exoanded on by novels and other media
Forge allows for the creativity of the community to shine
Theater allows for saving memorable moments
Matchmaking is very well thought out (Not Halo Reach)
Different type of FPS instead of regular WW2
Eastereggs
Spectacular Soundtrack

Cons:

Reach was rushed
2 levels left out of fonal build of halo 2
